Normally I post "kill them all" about deer, but not this time.
Very humane. Good job by the hunters.

Kinda reminded me of Saving Private Ryan when they captured the German, let him go and he ends up killing one of the Americans later on only to die anyway. Hope they don't run out in front of a M/C.

Lemme see here,,,,,,,,, Your all geared up doin,,,what? You come across a couple of freebies, in distress, and your not home by lunch? What am I missing here. Humanitarian issues aside, theyre not human. Theyre food thats mobile. If you want to help animalkind adopt a pound dog or cat.

Uhh carrying shotguns and a bird dog...might not be deer hunting.
You can't get away with poaching everywhere, just Bama, Arkansaw and OK.

It's just not sportsman like, even if they were deer hunting.
It's an honor issue....to me. I would take no pride in killing something that was in their predicament.
I'm proud of those hunters.

I've noit seen anything like that, and only once heard of something similar. thought I was listening to a huntin' tall tale at the time. I'm betting they were out of season too, although you do hunt deer in Illinois with a shotgun last I heard

Talk about honor - - we had a report on TV here in Denver yesterday about a bear "hunter" who proudly shot a 7' bear - 8 feet deep in his den. Talk about fair chase! Anyway, the story went on to say that the DOW is changing the law about shooting bears in their dens.

In my defence; I'm not a hunter though I do support it. I simply dont care for the taste of game. I also didnt put the birding gear together either. I'd rather see them harvested than left to suffer if they were unsuccesful. Doing what they did is the right thing. On a humorous note, You can tell they werent deer hunting, they didnt have a spotlight.
