A building at the local sewer plant blew last week. I worked at the plant for 12 years and one of my current job duties includes work on the high voltage switch gear that connect the City's Hydro plant and the sewer plant. After the Digester building explosion I got called down to the plant to kill power to a couple transformers. I had my camera a got some photos.  The Y shaped building sat between 3 round digesters.  The second photo is the plant's generator building the sludge from the digesters filled the ripped open conduits and then flowed into the electrical panels in the generator building and then out the door and into the parking lot. The blast was felt miles away

I hope no one was hurt.

Anaerobic digester huh?  Im glad I dont have to mess with those stinky thangs.  Someone had better order a few tons of hydrated lime...
