http://mysite.verizon.net/res184gd/my2008floridatrip/Many, many thanks to Stan Goodell for loaning me a u-joint since I discovered mine was bad only a couple of days before my trip was to begin. Also, the N-line trailer I bought from Steve worked out great and carried all my camping gear. Curtis

Thanks for sharing your trip and family with us, Curtis. Sure made my coffee time this morning special without running up the credit card at fuel stops. I have a note out to my cuz'nz (Cuban) wife about the probable bananas. ~Jeff

Great write up. Sounds like a good family adventure. Having ridden down that way before, I have to agree that a lot of Florida isn't great riding. Just have to find people to enjoy along the way and wait for the springs and the keys.

Fried sweet plantains in the upper right corner, says cuz'n Rita. Often mistaken for a banana... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlantainsThanks for all the work posting your trip notes, Curtis. ~Jeff

Wow, what a great trip and report, Curtis. If you want more fried plantain, it is a side item in many of the menu selections at the DFW "Gloria's" restaurant chain. Salva-Tex / Tex-Mex. Muy bueno!

You can sit on the patio overlooking 'The Harbor' at the Rockwall location. http://www.planetrockwall.com/the_harbor_in_rockwall.htmRockwall did this thing right, if you haven’t been, you should.
