Years ago when my oldest was being diagnosed with

what we found out was cancer she was real down

So I found this big ole horse in a toy store in the Bronx and tied it to the back of the interstate and rode home.  OK so it wasnt the pony she wanted as a little girl but it was soft and cute and I thought she would like it

Kids were waving and pointing and smiling as the wind made it appear the horse was nodding its big head and neck

Took this shot in the driveway when I got home



 An extra horsepower is what I call it

Alana did not like the horse. She preferred the stuffed animal her boyfriend brought her lol

She is over 2 years in remission now and when she moved out the horse stayed here at home

God is Good.  The Lord sometimes answers prayers.

Just sharing a story with a happy ending.  Hope all our members and families who are dealing with serious health issues have a full recovery

Glad to hear she is in remission.  I hope that one day they will find a cure for cancer, and I'm about to organize my 5th shave off for St. Baldrick's foundation.  The words children and cancer should neverhave to be spoken together, I hope that someday it won't be necesary.

Evan I remember you talking about Alana and her ordeal. Glad she's doing well and hope she stays that way. Keep the pony for a riding buddy (when Bonnie's not going along of course) and always remember why you bought it.   Hope to see ya down the road somewhere this year.

Life isn't allways fair or easy, but when it comes to our kids, it becomes harder to deal with.
But remission is a sign from above,....love your children, and thank god we have them.
Because their lives are a refection of our influences, guidance, and all we can give them.
