I am approaching the idea of rebuilding my carbs.  Fixin' too... for me that means thinking about getting ready too...

I like to collect as many parts as I am able in advance... that means questions of folks that are way smarter than I am.  I thought I start on the Texas board first... as you guys are close at hand and have thus far been very gracious to the noob.

First: it appears from the Honda parts fiche that there isn't really a kit.  Does anyone else make a kit?  Maybe k&L?  If I am best going OEM What parts should I get?  Needles, jets and...

Two: I figured to rebuild the petcock, replace all the vacuum hoses, replace the fuel filter and add a quick fuel disconnect while I am in there.  (what the heck... it's just money right?) I already have a new air filter.

Three: do I need anything other than that?  Should I invest in the de-smog kit too?  I'm not real sure what that is... or what the advantages are to installing one.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Nuggets of wisdom?

O-rings for the slow speed needles (6)
O-rings for the head to intake joints (6)
Carb bowl gaskets (6)

High quality carb cleaner, spray and liquid.
Air compressor for blowing out the passages after cleaner.
Common hand tools to do the job especially a 1/4 inch socket set.

I have no affiliation with Red Eye Technical Services, other than I'm a satisfied customer.
But if you want to do your cabs I suggest that you start here...
