Just how many miles should clutch discs last: 1(normally), 2(if you ride it like you stole it)?

I ride "normally", and my clutch feels the same as it did 115,500+ miles ago.

My friend from Brazil has over 250,000 miles on his bike with the same clutch. Bike rides as smooth as ever. Gone from the tip of South America to Purdo Bay twice. Plus all over the U.S.,Canada, Central and South America. He's shipping his bike to Europe soon to travel there for a few years.

I feel it has nothing to do with how you "ride" your bike, but how you ride your clutch.

Using a clutch properly should last a life time, litery speaking. We have a show, Canada's Worst Drivers, and I only watched one episode, and saw a guy burn out 3 clutches in the cource of one test.

104,000 & still going.
I do ride a bit "gentle-er" than I used to.  Wink

Clutch feels as good as the '99 with 49K & Kim's '98 with 24K.
