and my wife is still stuck on the road. We are getting what looks to be 14 inches of snow. My sweet heart is like most of us, if you have a job you stay till 5PM and don,t leave early. We here in this area don,t seem to know how to get around in the snow. Bette has always done real well being from New Jersey she always drove in this kind of stuff. I am just on pins and needles waiting for my girl. Shortleg[Dave]

Praying for Bette to have a safe uneventful journey.
Give her a hug for us when she gets there.

dave,
it's 6:30 am here and i'm reading your post for the first time. i hope she's home by now!!! i often don't realize how lucky i have it. my wife works at home as a medical transcriptionist. driving in lousy weather is exciting for a man, it's the survivalist mantality we seem to have, but for a woman it's different.
hope all is well.

I know the feeling. Back aways my wife worked downtown Ft. Wayne as a telephone operator. We had a snow blizzard. I was worried (no cell phone then). She finally called and was staying overnight at the telephone company. The only vehicles out that night were snowmobiles and ham radio operators with four wheel drive trucks. Communications and travel broke down completely.
She got home safely the next afternoon.

Well about 12 midnight I get a call telling me Honey I am only 4 miles from home. I proceed to start the snow blower and get the driveway done so my girl can get off the street. While I was doing the last of it I see headlights coming down the street. Sure enough it,s my Honey. All I got from her all night wasYou can not belive how bad the drivers are here when it snows. Bette didnot wakeup this AM till 10. that is the latest I have seen her sleep in I can,t remember when. Thanks for the prayes and cares.
