to see event details or register....go to

http://www.valkyrieriders.com/cheaha/

and of course, a big thanks to Scott for putting the info in!    cooldude

for rooms up top, you know the drill...mention valk riders...be persistent...ask about cabins, chalets, etc....and go on the waiting list. this year we'll probably need folks to "pair up" like past years when we didn't have the Private Lodge. We lost 32 beds when we gave up the private lodge...but...SAVED $4000 in the budget! Thus, there is no registration fee this year.

also note .gdb route files are on that page for downloading for those with GPS....   cooldude

TimBob,

OK, I'm all signed up on the registration thing, and I got a cabin reserved... rooms were all gone when I called. I reckon you know all this advanced commitment and such is new for me... Oh well, life is full of surprises...

Yeah, what the heck is BTT anyhow? See everybody up top in a couple of months...

I recently had me one of those lightnin' bolt revalation things... possibly even a full-blown epiphany, but I doubt it. It wasn't like I was struck down by a blinding light on the road to Damascus or anything... Still, it was a stroke of insight that for me was pretty amazin'... I wrote a little story to explain and I'll post it here in a minute...

might just be me....but i notice the .gpx download buttom doesn't seem to work (for me). just shows code. .gdb (garmin proprietary) does work. Anyone else notice? of course, i have the files....but just figured if any of you need the route file... the .gpx one is "universal".

also, the restaurant for lunch on group ride has changed. it will be within a block or two of the Western Sizzlin...but...the Western Sizzlin in Pell City is 'no more'.....  We'll probably go either Cracker Barrel or Mexican...right in same area...depending on who can service us best................I'll post when i get confirmed.......
