1/30/2011
A friend recently went through Army Ranger training in Florida.  During the second day of the brutal “swamp phase,” as the soldiers were rowing an inflatable raft down a river, a fishing boat cruised by with two scantily clad sunbathers on deck.   The harsh rigors of the training suddenly came to focus when my friend turned to his buddy and asked, “I wonder if they had any food in that cooler?”

Must have been married...

In this day and age, what does marriage have to do with it?

Must have been married...

In this day and age, what does marriage have to do with it?

For some of us, RJ, exactly the same as it did 100 years ago.   Smiley

Carl, maybe 2 of 10.   I'm just picking a straw here.    I can count 8 right here in my neighborhood.

The old people who lived her when we bought have pretty much all died off, the new ones aren't lasting too long in the marriage dept.    Got 2 pending within 3 houses from me in both directions.

Even heard a few weeks ago, my youngest daughter has filed due to her jusband running around and he wants out.   You might say, he went to the bottom of my list real fast.

Well, one could interpret that comment as a married man would be so infatuated and in love with his wife that he wouldn'tthink about another woman. And if my wife sees this that's exactly what I meant.

Or, one could interpret that as meaning that after being married long enough a man could be broken down and give up on any hope of happiness beyond food and drink.

Not so married as realistic.  I've been on training, and used training, and the cooler would hold more interest than anything else by a longshot. I agree with the general consensus about mairrage though.
Now if it was MY wife with the cooler,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I have never given cheating a second thought, and I have had a few flat out offers.  No thank you... not interested.  There is NONE of that good enough to F-up my marriage.  I know I am a rookie compared to a lot of you old timers, but I will be 20 years this fall.  1 marriage.  forever.  That's the PLAN anyway.

Now... that said, I'll still look.  as someone once said... "I'm MARRIED not DEAD!"

To quote Betty White on "Hot in Cleveland"....
