I'm going to take the tourer out for more carb cleanout running today - it's just too nice a day not to ride.

Anyone up for a quick ride?  email at rainmaker@takethisoutsilvervalk.com

Went out to start up the Tourer and it was running rough again. Guess that varnish settled back down.   tickedoff

So I put in another can of Seafoam and took a little ride.  Left Arlington, went over to 35W and then up to 380 and stopped to fill up and see what kind of mileage I was getting with the carbs gummed.  28mpg.  OK, now I knew how far I could go on a tank.  Headed north to Sanger, turned east on 455, cruised past Ray Roberts, then thru Celina and over towards Anna.  (I love the road between Celina and 75).  At 75, turned south down to I-30 and then west back to Arlington.  Right at 163 miles and I didn't let the throttle sit in any position for long.  Just twisted it up, then glided, then twisted it up.

As I stopped in the garage, the throttle response was excellent, the idle was good, etc.  I'll see what happens when I start it up tomorrow morning before heading to the GM Plant.

Saw a lot of bikes on the trip - hope some of you got some wind today.  It was a beautiful day to ride.  cooldude
