started pulling things apart..... changed out the vac hoses..... masked and painted the block.....started putting it all back together....the lift sure makes it nice!!!!!!!!

I don't know which I like more...the shop or the bike.  Very nice on both counts.  Please continue to post pics of the progress and let us know when "The Dream" becomes "The Reality".

wow!!  love that black paint on the engine!!  my bike's all torn apart also, adding an amp, more LED's, carb sync, new driveline, adding lights inside my trunk (domelight), changing the speakers to something that sounds better......  i feel like i'm never going to finish..... i've got parts strewened out all over the place.....

just an fyi....krylon came out with an exhaust paint with  ceramic, in gloss black and a few other colors. wont peel or pucker up to 500F. the bombs are relatively cheap at about 2.50 a can...

After a good cleaning.....scrub brush and wipedown with lacquer thinner....have plenty of ventilation!!!!! coolsmiley

I did this to my 97 valk years ago it worked great and lasted good the 7 years I had the bike.  I used Duplicoat brake caliper paint..rattlecan.... has ceramic, and is good to 500F..... hope my block NEVER gets that hot!!!! The paint I used on the 1st bike was Plasticote brake caliper paint..... couldn't find it.... Hope this one lasts as well...

LOL  I just got through building the shop.... still need to build work benches... shelving..... trust me.... it will fill up quick.... cooldude  Started working today to put up lights.......10- 8ft T8 fixtures with 0* ballasts.... hope they don't flicker when it is cold like the T12's do

I've heard that you have to build bigger than your original plan... garages/shops are known to shrink within weeks of final construction.

I didn't tear down that far......but I did pull the airbox...LOL  .... Hey Mine looks good if ya don't start using an inspection mirror to look WAY up inside cooldude Cheesy  I can see where the brakeclean would come in handy... but JIM BEAM??????? lol    My home brew 107 proof will clean off more gunk!!!! coolsmiley

I noticed the computer in the background... sure is handy ta have the shop manual downloaded!!!!! cooldude  I'm sure there there is a whiskey glass in one of my pics.... we have 3 clocks on the patio..... none of them work.... and they are ALL set at 5 after 5.... cooldude

A homemade variation.... have found most of the right parts... cooldude  But need to work with it on the bike before the cuttin, and weldin' begins...then get 'er chromed......
