Sounds like just about everyone is feeling the effects of the big storm, so I thought I'd let ya see what things look like in my neck of the woods...  I'm about 25 - 30 miles west/north west of the city of Milwaukee.  Folks down near the IL/WI border really got smacked, with up to 20" and blizzard like winds.

Here, I'd say we picked up between 10" and 14"...  Really hard to tell, when some parts of the yard and driveway are blown clean, and other areas have 6' drifts...  Shocked

Here's my Lab 'Bruno', last night...  Lookin' for a spot to poop  Undecided (deep snow sucks, when the yard is yer outhouse)...

There is a sidewalk there, somewhere...

Front sidewalk, to the front door...

My 20 year old MTD snow thrower...  Takes a lickin', and keeps on tickin'...

Bottom of the drive done, now for bustin' through to the street...

Finished about an hour ago...

I love having a set of handle bars in my hands, but this is not the way to make cabin fever go away  uglystupid2

Thanks for lookin'

At least you can get to your handlebars.  cooldude Mine are iced in. 1/2" or so with the drive and county roads being skateable. coolsmiley I'd rather have snow than ice. coolsmiley

to be honest with you, i love getting a good dumping of snow!!  put the truck in 4 wheel drive, fly down the highway at 60, with no one else but other 4x4's!!  i'm glad i got a good snow blower though!!  my back dies with only 3 inches of snow!!  we had 22" last december, thankfully without the wind.

Well, our official total here between Chicago & Milwaukee was 23.5" and I have no doubt of that. Peak wind gust was 61 mph with sustained 50+ most of the night. It's drifted halfway up my front door and there was a little bare pavement in front of the kitchen and back doors. Sadly the big garage door (and snowblower)  were hidden by a 4+ foot drift the length of the 24' x 24' garage. I took the easy way out and climbed through the drifts to the "people door" and shoveled my way in so I could assist the door opener when I hit the remote to open it. Then I used the snowblower to eat itself out into the drive. I was all cleared out by noon but the plows didn't get to my street until about an hour ago so I stayed put and worked on fairings. Interesting day.
Folks trying to stave off cannibalism were resorting to eating at Taco Bell.

THIS JUST IN.......... It's so cold out, The National Weather
Service has issued a severe shrinkage warning for today.

All women are urged to keep their men indoors.
