Found some more differences between US and European models when I was in Germany at Inzane.

Yep. Interesting stuff.

And, I can't recall the exact weight, but my recollection of the Japanese reverse was not a simple reverse use of the starter, but has gearing associated with it that weighs something over 100 lbs and sticks out the underside of the bike an inch and a half or more.  Used to have a photo of it, but can't locate it.

IF YOU WANT SOME MORE EMAILS, JUST GIVE ME A HINT  Grin

Japanese model Tourers have reverse (operated electrically using the starter motor). The new reversing system was exclusive to the Japanese import model

I found a Japanese website today, they have copied a lot from mine....  ???

From that a review quoted on that website Dag mentioned:
"The huge bike is easy to maneuver at low speed, but ponderous. U-turns on a Valkyrie are equivalent to meeting a grizzly in the forest. Don't make any sudden moves, and you won't have any problems. If something does happen, let it do whatever it wants to, then shout loudly for help."

That's a bit of an exaggeration, but still downright funny.

This is not a exaggeration if you meet a grizzly....    Cool

A Valk compared with a grizzly is maybee a overstatement   Grin  Grin
