There’s a great article by Massad Ayoob in the current issue of Combat Handguns, (May 2011) “DON’T LOOK FOR TROUBLE; The fine line between vigilant and vigilante – five real-life case studies.” As the title suggest; he reviews five (5) cases involving shooting outside ones dwelling and the legal ramifications following the incidents. The article somewhat ties into another thread going on about the AZ land owner.

If you’re not familiar with Massad Ayoob, he’s the real deal. He was hired to instruct our Master Trainer program when we shifted from wheel guns to autos in the mid-90s. All of us ‘old head veterans’ hung on the edge of our seats when this man was speaking. So I’m somewhat of a fan of his. He writes a monthly (they have 8 issues a year actually) article for Combat Handguns. It’s an excellent magazine - IMO.

There’ also an article by Jeff Cooper that’s really good. . . .

(And here's the article about Jeff COoper - http://www.tactical-life.com/online/combat-handguns/a-jeff-cooper-retrospective-24/ )

...nevermind - Just actually went to READ the article, and they're just teasers of the first few paragraphs...

Another great compilation from him. Every fire arm carrying person should read this book. And check the reviews of the book at the bottom.
