i have a trunk rack from an old valk project sitting here. how can i tell an original from an aftermarket? thanks for your time!

for the Honda rack, look for the poor welds..... Wink

I think this is a oem rack, don't know for sure, I got it cheap at a honda dealer out of his discontinued stock bin.  Fits nice.  Hoser

It is not Honda.    Honda has 4 separate runners front to back within the loop.

Look at the 1st picture and then compare yours.

The aftermarket rack has smaller feet!

The potential to punch through the plastic is increased when compared to the Honda rack.

Maybe some chrome fender washers would be the fix.
