I'm trying to imagine enjoying drilling a hole in two-foot-deep ice with a chainsaw. It's
not working for me  2funny

So how much ice have you caught?

I can still remember growing up on an island in MI in the mouth of the Detroit river.  All kinds of guys would drag out ice fishing shanties way out on the ice.  We'd  get a bit of a thaw and current (speed) increase, and football field pieces of ice would break loose and head out into Lake Erie, with a half dozen shanties full of guys fishing and drinking oblivious to their situation.  Coast guard would have to go out and pick them up (but not their shanties).

MI on the left, Ontario on the right.

Ever ride when everyone else is huddled inside trying to stay warm and dry, your hands and feet are numb, and your forehead starts to sting just above the space between your eyebrows, but you're still given her all ya got ? It's that kinda thing. Grin
