What a RIDE!

Knoxville, Tn

« on: April 08, 2009, 10:13:58 AM »

Fellow selling what he claims is an 01 blue and sliver interstate, on Ebay. I questioned him on either the year or if it's been repainted.  He said it's an 01 and "to his knowledge" it hasn't been repainted.  Look at it and see for yourself. Not even the stock paint scheme on the tank.  But I could be wrong.

Just another example why you have to watch what you get off Ebay

Meant to post comment, anyhow, wrong color for 2000. Must have been repainted 01. Still a nice looking bike.

Stormrider, I agree it's a nice looking bike. But with the bidding already at 9600, I hope whoever gets it, knows what they are getting.  The seller said he was the second owner.  If he knows anything about Valks he should know it's been repainted.  Just makes me wonder if it's been wrecked.

I had big plans to repaint my Valk when I first go her. The more I looked at that beautiful Tan and Burgandy the more I decided that it was to pretty to paint. But some do just have them stripped down and re-paint them to be doing something different.

At this point if I repaint it will be because something has happened to the paint, until then I just ride my stocker.

Very fishy to say the least as he did not even list the VIN so I cam do a

History report.

Bet money it is a salvage, badges and front fender emblems missing.  No antenna's but is has radio and CB?  Most certainly repainted to non stock colors and layout.
