Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

I was thinking back about the ride in up in Natchez, Mississippi that Smokin'Joe lined up and was wondering if anyone ever got any updates on the guy who smacked the deer on the Natchez Trace right outside Natchez?  I think he was from Alabama or Georgia.  I may have missed it here on the board.  He was flown to Jackson with head injuries and was doing better....any updates on how he came out?

Was his bike totaled or fixable?  How is he doing?  I know he took one helluva whack.  I know that was a couple of months back, but just never saw any updates after he left Jackson.

Just came to mind as I thought back about that ride - which was awesome - WELL DONE Brother Joe.

Man, I love the Trace - nice soothing ride, but since the whole thing is like a national park, there is lotsa wildlife on it.  Heck, last time Wizard, LynDel, Early Bird and I were riding it, a bobcat ran right in front of my wheel.

I know it was a couple of months back, because I am freezing right now and when my petcock kept giving me troubles on the way up to Natchez, man, I was about to get heat stroke.   Shocked

There was also an old member here that got the deer up in the Pacific Coast about the same time...any updates there as well?

That was FortyNiner from AL, but I haven't heard anything since a week or so after the accident. If anyone has updates, I would like to know also.

Me too.  Jeff posted here a little bit after the accident, thanking everyone for the prayers and well-wishes.  He's a good guy.

I think (but may be wrong) that the other member you are talking about is Cliff.  I was just talking to MP about him, and MP said Cliff has given up riding (after his two accidents) and is now travelling around via cage.

Yep, those were the two members I was thinking of.  If anyone knows an update on Jeff - please let us know.  Hated to see it happen and I know he got pretty busted up.

Thanks guys.

Last time I talked to him ( week or so after the crash ) he was out of the hospital and on the heal. He had his crashed bike for sale however I don't know if it sold or not.

Clint and I hooked up in Kentucky a couple months ago for supper . He was out driving his new to him Hemi Wagon and I was on the road working.   Clint was claimin' he had doubts of ever riding again  Sad  Kinda got the same feeling from Jeff when we talked on the phone that he may never ride again as well  Sad

Thats what I thought back in 1988 when I got hit head on by a car. It took me a couple of years to get back on one. So you never know.

That may be true in Jeff's case  Undecided  With Clint I'd bet he never rides again as he had two back to back horrific crashes and his loved ones has applied the pressure for him to leave motorcycles alone .
