Hey Guys,

Anyone using handlebar mounted speakers? I have seen several types and styles and was wondering how they were working out?

Hey Griz, my son has a single bar speaker mounted across the center of his handlebars on his vtx 1800.  He says he can hear it fine even when riding behind me with cobra 6x6 shorties without baffels.  Sorry, don't know the brand but can find out if you would like. L

I have two chrome speakers about 2" in diameter. I bought them at Maxim's charity auction.  They have a chrome amp that you can mount about anywhere and will crank up about as loud as you want.  I'll have to look for the brand.

Someone had some larger diameter, powered speakers on his bars a while back.  I think it was Flyboy.

i have these 3" speakers on my sabre but i'm using a cheap shark amp.  the speakers rock and i like the black fronts because they don't reflect the sunlight into my eyes like another chrome set i had did. i'm thinking about putting this set on my valk.  i purchased them from chromeglow.

Well, I don't need to go find the paperwork now. That's the exact setup I have on my Valk, wired through a relay.

Griz, I have speakers mounted on my bike and a 300w amp under my seat. The guys on the bike behind me can usually hear me. I will try to find a link to a guy in Abiline(I think) and post it back on here.

I love mine....but as I hate ANYTHING mounted to the handlebars....I mounted these on the ugly OEM winshiels mount bracket.  Now the sound reverbertes through the whole windhield......turns it into an acoustic shell of sorts.  Really cool.

Mine are the 2" CycleSounds. I have the stock pipes on the Valk.... I had the 6 in 6 but swaped them for stock just for the quiet ride. The Harley has Vance/hines shorties..... Toooooo loud  tickedoff

i had a shark system on my sabre.  the speakers i got were very tinny sounding and chrome covered, which reflected the sun into my eyes at certain times of day.
i bought the 3" speakers from cyclesounds and am using the shark amp and the volume, on/off, mute which is mounted on my riser with velcro, with the cyclesound speakers.  works very well.
the shark speakers are sitting in a box.

if you get this system, i recommend the the black front speakers.

there are other options on this site.  i've heard they are hard to get a hold of if you have questions or need to return. i've not dealt with them in those areas.
