It is no secret that my in-laws and I don't get along. we can hold it together and generally be nice about it, but it does make holidays not to fun.
Easter is not the worst holiday, but it is particularly frustrating.
My wife and I are celebrating our five year wedding anniversary this weekend, but we can't be gone on easter celebrating because my mother in law has TOLD us we're coming to her house for dinner and that we don't need to celebrate our marriage.
I don't like following other people telling me what to do on the best of times, but my mother-in-law telling my wife what is going to happen, then my mother in law will belittle or scream at my wife until she caves and we do whatever the he77 we don't want to do, just makes it less fun.
On the plus side we are getting to go up to Indianna PA. Leaving tomorrow in the Volvo. We're going to arrange to sublet an apartment for the summer so that we can have a kitchenette and cook our own food to keep cost down as I study for a degree that I can't afford. Joy!
I'm going to be stuck in the volvo 2 days and tehn at the inlaws for what will feel like a month and a half (all in just a few hours). No riding time for me this weekend.
Oh well.
Could be worse. Somehow. I'm sure it can be worse.
