If you was to ask me I'd say those silly folk's they have working the phones at the motel is hurting this event.  You got 28 people signed up ( several of those will be two-up in a room ) and they claim everything is SOLD OUT...It was the same last year they said " NO ROOMS " Coot and I shared a room and the one's to the left and right of ours sit empty the entire weekend  Undecided

What I think is the usual thing is going on ..

Folks book a room as they leave the previous year

Then they don't register in the beginning. It happens EVERY year!

They just take their time to register for some reason ...and YES we have EVERY room up top

FL vs AL?  Every year u guys give us a run for our money!

i'll call this week and check on the room status. Also, the ONE to talk to is Anita. SHE HAS....a clue. Some of the others.....................well......the verdict is still out. But i can assure you i booked EVERY SINGLE ROOM, CHALET and CABIN up top for us that weekend. If you talk to Anita...mention the Valk club...and IF SHE SAYS there are no rooms, then OUR folks have em'. Now, every year...quite a few hold em' to the last week or two....and THEN release if they aren't coming.

honestly, they're just taking MY advice. I always say....get a room EARLY. you can always cancel...but once they're gone....the rooms up top....are gone..............  Every year we have this problem. EVERY year. The last few years, with 32 beds in the Private Lodge....the problem wasn't as bad. This year, without those 32 beds.....the problem is again like the old days. Only so many rooms up top...................

you know the drill. Even if FOR NOW....there are no rooms (while i'll post on once i check this week with the REAL scoop)....go on the waiting list, get a cabin/chalet....etc.

Cool..  We're already signed up, either I did it and forgot, or Wizard beat me to it again!

Thanks, Joe,  for helping me be sure we're "legal"

Sorry we didn't get to see you on your very brief visit to the Lone Star State!

I understand.  About 10 days ago I was supposed to be in Austin for a seminar -- I'd been looking forward to it ever since I paid for it in November.  Except the Friday I was supposed to leave, Houston was frozen.  I-10 W was shut down until about 3 pm.  I opted out of the seminar -- sorry I missed it, but not sorry I missed all the idjits who don't know to slow down when it's icy out.

See you in Alabama!
