Hangin' out here beats a tree on the head any day!

Here is some info you need to know...if going to Cheaha....and doing ANY of the group ride/museum/race 'thang'...

1. $25 discount race tickets (normally $40)...will be on sale...up top....FRIDAY NIGHT ONLY (no hitting me up 5 seconds before departure when all heck is breaking lose  Cool ). we have 100 tickets...and ONLY 100 tickets. When they're gone...they're gone. i'm sure you can probably buy a race ticket ON SITE...from them...for the FULL $40. But to get the $25 "cheapies"....see us Friday either during registration....or during the all night festivities at BaldRock Lodge (OF COURSE....REGISTRATION IS ALSO AT BALD ROCK LODGE...not at the hotel like it was in the 'old' days). First come, first serve. no, i'm not going to hold any out...so see us (registration table) up top. there will be plenty...so don't sweat it.......just see us up top. But don't wait UNTIL SATURDAY!

2. Museum tickets...are available ON SITE ONLY. normally...they are $15. but if you show them the VRCC 'ticket' included in your packet, for you lucky folks, the cost will be discounted to $12.

3. You MUST....bring your race ticket to get into the races the day of the event (duh)....and/or bring your VRCC discount coupon....to get your museum discount. You may do both....or one....or neither.....it's YOUR OPTION. you can just ride with us...then go to the Bass pro shop (nearby...for free of course  Cheesy ) the point being, you don't HAVE to do any of the race/museum stuff...but to eat on site at Barbers...you will have to do one or the other (or both). and of course, the race 'thang' has FAR more options!

4. CRITICAL: If you do NOT purchase a RACE ticket, then you can NOT get into the "park area"...where the race is. that means you can NOT get into the race, can NOT get to where MOST of the food vendors are (ALL BUT ONE!), can NOT get into the motorcycle vendors. If you do NOT buy a race ticket, and instead, ONLY buy a museum ticket....then all you can do is go in the museum and they SHOULD have ONE food vendor in the museum. Bottom line, no motorcycle vendors, no choice of food vendors, no race watching, no going in the "Fan Zone"....and no special parking if you do NOT buy a race ticket. If you also don't buy a museum ticket (on site)...AND...don't buy a race ticket, then all you can do is ride with us over there....and then....well....wave goodbye i guess? Of course, the museum is the largest in North America, so if races aren't your thing, the museum is WELL worth seeing. I just want you to know EXACTLY what your options are.......in advance.......

5. There will be SPECIAL parking for RACE TICKET folks. ONLY ...for race ticket folks (on site at Barbers). The first two groups going down the mountain...first one led by me and then second group by Sherry...are ONLY for race ticket folks. NO MUSEUM ONLY folks can be in those two groups...as we are going right into the Fan Zone...to the SPECIAL group parking. you can't go in those two groups, or get in the Fan Zone, or do the special parking...if you don't have a race ticket. Depending on the size of the groups...and numbers of folks who buy race tickets, the THIRD group led by Santa/Tom...may or may not be a race group. we'll announce that up top FRIDAY NIGHT during the festivities at the lodge (during the brief announcements). The FOURTH group, led by BamaJack, is ONLY for museum folks...ie...folks who are NOT doing the races. they will park up somewhere near the museum...as they find space. IF YOU GO IN YOUR OWN GROUP...and not one of our groups....that's ok, but you won't be able to park in the Special group parking area most likely.

6. Make sure you get in the RIGHT group on departure. we'll announce this again, multiple times....up top....but, there always seems to be that 10% that do NOT get the word  Shocked  There will be NO fast group, medium group, slow group this year. There might be a slight difference between the first and second groups...but THIS year, it's about going in the right group to get to the right part of the huge Barbers complex!

7. you probably should bring your map....found in your registration packet...to get back up top after the Barbers 'thing'. the reason being, some will break off immediately and not do anything at Barbers. some will want to do the races...and stay longer (much more to do at the races...with vendors and food and multiple races). Some will breeze thru the museum and leave. Some may stay longer at the museum. some may do races and then museum. and yet others, may want to hit the new Bass Pro right next to barbers...AFTER doing all this race 'thang'. and on and on. So, bottom line...we could have folks leaving to go back to Cheaha at all different times. so best to make plans to POSSIBLY go back by yourself. it's a straight shot down the interstate 20...which Barbers sits right off of. zip down the interstate back to exit 188....and right on up the mountain...with a few turns though. i will probably lead one group back. maybe Santa will too? But...there won't be 3 or 4 groups coming back. Just one or two...and set times that may or may not work for you? Don't want anyone rushed THIS time!!!!!!!!

we'll cover this stuff again up top Friday night............but.....just giving you a heads up...as 10% or more of you will be too ....eh.....'happy' from all the adult beverages, prizes, karaoke, tunes, desserts...going on in the lodge...to hear or think or remember half of this  uglystupid2
