Sunday Ride

I went for a ride yesterday.  It was just too nice out not to.  I thought it would be nice to ride over to Crosby to see what they have going on Sunday afternoons.  The town was a buzz with car washes for the high school and several vendors on the roadside selling Valentine's candy and stuffed animals.  It was a great day for a ride!  Didn't see any Valks on the road, but there were plenty of other bikes out taking advantage of the Spring like weather.
I rode through Crosby (up 2100) and up around Lake Houston (took 1960 to Atascosita rd) and back down I-59 to downtown and on home to P'ville.  About 115 miles in all.

Chiko and I also went for a bit of a ride Sunday..Headed down to the Tri-cities, (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland), taking the back roads out of Moses Lake, out to Mardon resort, then a hard left up the hill and down the twisties to Othello, up over Radar Hill (one of my old duty stations) through Basin City, and on to  Richland.. Went to see some Gerbing heated gear and miscellaneous that was for sale..Excellent prices, but unfortunately, jacket and gloves were all too small..so had to pass...Saw about a 100 bikes (two or three at a time) mostly Harley's and wings..with a few sport bikes thrown in..enjoyed every minute of it...

Son and I out North on 146 from Clear Lake to Baytown, Wallisville, Anuhac, then down to the Bolivar Peninsula, and over the ferry to Galveston.  Great day for a ride!  (Little bit cool on water's edge however)  After a burger at the Spot, back home, bout 150 miles of pure smiles!
