Just ordered wider brake & clutch handles.

I've never replaced these. Is there any special procedure?

Thanks in advance.  Wink

Which ones did you order?  The Goldwing adjustable needs a tab removed as previously posted in another thread.  Personally, I bought the ShowChrome levers last year and the clutch slipped until I ground off enough of the stop protrusion on the lever until it matched the OEM clutch lever specs.  I have been perfectly satisfied with them since.  I like the looks of them and my hands are large enough that I don't mind the reach.  Oh yes, just make sure that you don't let the clutch or brake plunger come out.  That causes a leak and that dot 4 fluid can be very hard on the paint...JTL

Yeah,, I bought the Gold Wing adjustable ones. I know about grinding off that tab, but what I don't know is exactly how to change them.

You mentioned to watch out for a plunger? Are there any sites or links that have pictures on how to change these?

1 nut, 1 pivot bolt to remove for each lever, easy. The plunger will stay put if you don't futz around with it. Put a little synthetic marine grease on the shank of the bolt prior to reinstalling. You'll love the wide levers, I have the Kuryakyn ones, I did. Everything on the Valk should be Texas sized ;-)
