I like a flip up, no beard though. I guess you could get one of those neck warmer's to hold it down.

Windshield lowers mounted on the fork tubes will almost eliminate the effect.
But not completely.

Twin braids with beads like a Viking? It could be wind coming up over the tank under the fairing. You can't normally feel it unless you hold your hand at the right or left top corner of the tank, then it's surprisingly strong. Do you have the little clear wings on the bottom sides of the fairing? Bakers could help. Also check the position of the little vents in the pods. If it isn't too treacherous, try a bare hand at speed to see exactly where the beard-wind is coming from. I was riding beside a forest fire and my eyes were killing me. I could see the smoke coming from the dash, so I put a square of duct tape in the centre of the dash vent at the bottom of the windshield and it helped a lot. Find the offending breeze first. then try to fix it. Fred.

Negative air preasure from the hole the fairing punches through the air. If beard is long enough could tie a bandana around neck and beard, viking braid thing probably cooler look.

I have read that moly-paste, applied liberally, will help. Don't want to start any discussion on whether Honda paste is better than BelRay. If no rubber band is readily available-some have used the "elusive 3rd o-ring". Do a search on the tech board about that!

Mine flips up when I ride. Usually I can see over it. When it gets in my eyes, I throw on a scarf and keep going. Full face, or closed modulars, help keep your beard pointing down, but even with that it can reach a length where it comes around again.

If it's long enough, and you've got chest hair, you could braid the two together to make one impressive man-face-carpet. It'd drive the ladies wild.

How about just riding the speed limit. You ask a serious question and there is always some joker who tries to come up with something funny to say about it! I like the idea of twin Viking braids, but I normally just trim mine when it starts to act inappropriately

i find it best to split it and tie it to the hair coming out of my ears! this has the added advantage of giving you a place to store water bottles, lunch extras etc.

Anti-seize works better than moly paste, and doesn't tend to fly off at speed, also almost undetectable if your a gray beard like me.

For each and everyone of you that contributed to this-my deep and profound thanks. I am relitively certain-judging by the replies and photos that everyone had as much fun with this as i did. That being said the daughters and mama and some of the people in my church said might be a good idea to trim it!! We will see. Course if it gets in the vision field to much-waiting and seeing if i see or not might not be an option. Going to be busy today building that low tech lift adapter for my bright yellow h/f lift Gals and guys-ya'll gave me some serious laughs asnd some downright belly laughs complete with the laugh to hard with tears stuff Everyone have a great day a better tommorrow and RIDE SAFE

I feel I need to point out that the "Shellac" solution is uniquely suited to motorcycles... See, shellac is made from dead bugs... ...and it cleans up with alcohol!
