Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

Broussard, Louisiana

Just throwing this out - better than throwing it up.  Cheesy  A lot of folks post on state and regional boards about rides they are getting together.  Just a thought, but you may want to post on this national board as well.  You never know who may show up.  Heck, DDT turned around in Utah or something and showed up at a "kind of nothing" ride we put on one time over here in Louisiana.  I was having coffee with Dad and got a phone call that he was in town.  Read it on the national board and turned around in Utah and headed this way.

A lot of people who are not from a state or something don't read state or regional boards but may stop by the national one from time to time.  Anywho, just a thought.....you just never know when someone may be thinking...."Heck, where can I ride to this weekend?"

When Early Bird posted here about his Mid Winter Gathering, I started making plans and I was even in Africa at the time.  Ya just never know.  Then I went over to the Texas board and started checking out people putting together routes and meet and greets.  But, if he had not posted here, I might have missed out on it, because I don't frequent the Texas board like I do the national one.

Anyway, just wanted to throw out the idea.  Well, didn't want to cause a stink, just thought I would throw it out for thought.

Ride safe if you are riding this weekend - or if not, have a good time doing it......

PS - there are at least 4 rides planned for this weekend if you can make one of them.  Smokin'Joe posts about his rides and sure keeps the interest up for them.  Sounds like he is having a good turn out for just a scouting trip this weekend - ya gotta love it.  You know, a lot of "first time meets" I have had with people from the VRCC were folks that may not post a lot, but read about a ride in and came....Again, even a small ride may have people show up that you might not expect.  A lot of riders here will ride a heck of a long way, just for good eats and meets or may just be in the area at the time - or even sitting in Utah wondering where ya might go for a weekend.   2funny Ya never know.....

Hi Strider Great idea except alot of folks live in areas that don't have regional boards and tend to use this message board as their personal blog. A posting of a ride will be 2 pages back in less than a day.Not much use unless it goes back to the front pages.

Joe True but we do have an "Events Calendar" that we do use. Also most of these rides were also posted in the VOA,Big Bike Riders,Valkyrie Riders Forum as well so I won't give all the credit to the VRCC boards. Alot but not all

Two on the right are for LED's.  I have two because two (LED's) of them are on my reservoir covers and face forward and are red, so I have them switched separately so I can turn off the front facing red lights if need be.  The one on the left are my driving light switch.

The plate on the right side with the cigarette lighter is a home made (made one night in his garage before heading out for Inzane in Colorado) bracket thing that Texas Ranger put on for me.  It also serves as a camera mount (the bolt sticking up) and drink holder (Schwinn special from Wallyworld) held on with a L bracket.  Hey, I am cheap and it works...hahahaha.

Whoa folks, what I meant to say was to post on the main (Events), regional or state and just pop a line here.  It might let people see it, plus it may drive some of the political stuff over to page two....Hahahaha.

The more people see about a ride, the better.

Plus a lot of rides, like some of Joe's day rides are more of a post here just in case someone wants to come (which was what I was talking about).
