Took a vote tonight and had no one going on the ride, so it is canceled.  Next ride is 6/28 going to ..........

Holy vulcanized plugged tire, Batman!

Where will we be going?  What will be the blue plate special where we go?

Stay tuned tomorrow for these answers and more.

I realize I am taking a chance of being identified as a ******, but it's a shame that only those who can make the meetings got to vote on the ride.

I was actually going to get to make this one.

The main issue was that no one, not one person, at the meeting indicated they wanted to ride.

Second issue is that I was unable to make the ride due to business issues Saturday and Speedo needed to visit relatives but was still planning on leading the ride until there were no shows of hands.

The third issue is that Ron and Mark are beginning to burn out as ride planners, ride leaders and the only club officers.

We could really use some relief from others who can plan and lead more of the rides.  The ride to Meers Store was great as was the ride to the Catfish house with Barron because we did not have to lead or plan them.

So, I understand your disappointment in the ride being cancelled and I am pretty sure our next ride will make.  Currently, the plan is a ride to Palo Pinto on the 28th, going to Graham and then down FM 4 to Palo Pinto Cafe for some plate sized chicken fried steak.  I will be leading that ride.

Don't feel bad Jean, last year I showed up at the Rockwall meeting place for a VRCC ride to Bodacous BBQ in Marshal.  Not one person showed up but me, not even the ride leader (it was threatening rain but there was no cancellation notice) so I showed 'em and went by myself!  Grin

Well 2-cup since it's been over a year, maybe it's time I got out that way again!  I'll be sure to let you know.
