No way am I going to grow up, so I guess I could care less.
I actually achieved my real goal in life, RETARDED as my grandson says.
Retired in 1997 for the 2nd time. Left my original employment in 1986 after 32 years. Too young to draw retirement then.

Wait till you get my age and aches outweigh the pleasures.
(Raced MotoX and hit a few station wagons)
Then you will know what you need.
A rocking chair on a motorcycle.

A rocking chair on a motorcycle. Really, Al?
I've ten years on you and my pleasures still outweigh my aches (although I do have plenty of aches).
The most comfortable place I can be is in the saddle of my Valkyrie (or any one of my Valkyries).
I do enjoy a good rocking chair, most especially with my child bride, but then that's another story.
I guess the MotoX must be the difference. I never raced MotoX and never hit a station wagon.

+1 Willow But I do have a few years on you. Having a child bride may also help. (both Motomama and Damselfly)

There's an old saying, "I may grow old, but I don't have to grow up." I kind of like that saying.

I'd like to be an author one day if I ever slow down long enough to write a book. At the moment I'm content with being a college professor. After 15 years of college trying to become a professor I think I'll enjoy it for a little while. Although one of my co-workers wanted to know what I'd do next.

I'd sure like to have my 20-year-old body back though. I might like to have my twenty year old body back also, but there have been other changes also as she's aged; some good, some not so good.

Well you may not get into a twenty year old body.
But this is something you all may not know.
Your bones or your skeleton is never more than twenty years old.
It regenerates as we live a normal life and as we age.
20 Years at the most in any one lifetime.
Now that's amazing.
Not going to go into how that happens but look it up, it's absolutely true.

My wife has accused me of being in my second childhood, but I never finished my first one. -RP
Someone asked if having a motorcycle was for my mid life crisis. I said "No, I am saving my mid life crisis for another corvette. This is just a second childhood." The wife deadpans me and says "Oh. Does that mean that you're done with your first one?"
