I own a 1998 Valkyrie Standard.  I am looking for another Valkyrie owner to ride my 1998 and let me know if the handling and ride is normal for a Valkyrie.  The ride does not seem as smooth as the other Motorcycles I have owned.  I cannot figure out what the problem is, any help would be greatly appreciated,

The tires are new, Avons were installed less than 1000 miles ago.
The head bearing was replaced less than 500 miles ago.
The rear shock bushing were replaced with Gary's bushing.

Anyone in the area that could meet up would be appreciated.

How does "less than smooth" manifest itself?

Maybe the left rear bearing is going bad?.....that made me think mine was "less than smooth" before I replaced it.... cooldude

I cannot pinpoint the less smooth ride. I am hoping that someone local can ride my Valkyrie and help me determine the problem, so I can finally fix it.

One of our friends named Jack Hunt(Smilin Jack) lives over near Cumming....he knows a lot about the Valk and working on them...he's the one who let me ride his Interstate before I bought mine and then helped me tear it down, inspect it, replace the tires, etc. etc...he's helped numerous Valk buddies with maintenance over the years.... cooldude

I live in Dacula myself, not much of a mechanic - but if you want I can take a look at it on a weekend.
