As the road makes the corner the builders cut the hill and pushed it into the valley to level the grade. I expect the first time it was cut was for horses and wagons, not cars and trucks.

It's barely maintained today…the ditches ignored and just a new layer of white-rock added when erosion gets the better of the surface. I doubt they'll ever widen or improve it. To do so would require correcting a colossal mistake…or perhaps rectifying the act of a madman.

Ouch, glad to hear you're (mostly?) okay!

Okay, curious now... Do you happen to know the name of the road, GPS coordinates, intersection, city, anything so I can track it down just.... well... because?

Yes, no, yes, yes...

I can find any place I've left metal, blood, or friends on the road...in a heartbeat.

But no gps...if I'd had a gps I'd have never found the place in the first place...because I wouldn't have been lost...or something like that.

Huh...pretty good argument FOR a gps I'd say...there are places that might be better left unfound...especially those places you have to be lost TO find...

heh...there will be a rest of the story. We'll see then.
