First, I'd like to thank Early Bird Ray for putting this VRCC event together for the third year in a row and to thank both Ray and Santa Chuck for once again leading a wonderful ride through the Hill Country.  The weather did not cooperate, but that did not seem to matter.  It could have been storming and that would not have diminished the experience one single bit!

It is really wonderful how many folks are willing to ride, fly, leave their homes in the middle of the night, cage across the country and do just about anything to get to this event.  Must say something about the character of the folks involved with the VRCC!

So, without further fanfare...

"No spittin', no cussin'" - Early Bird gives us an oral preview for the next day's ride...

Getting ready to head out for a great day of riding...

Our first stop was in Blanco at the town square.  Group 1 - led by Santa - is on the far side.  Group B - led by Early Bird - in the foreground.  We ate, shopped and visited...

Traveler looked mighty wet as did the rest of us...

We then headed over to Sisterdale and visted Sister Creek Vineyards - some mighty fine wine!...

Damien - from Boerne - met up with us there in Sisterdale.  His Valk looked so clean compared to the rest of us...

After that, it was straight up the road a piece to Luckenbach - where for a brief moment Valkyries actually outnumbered Harleys...for a brief moment...

TP was able to meet up with us there - that made two from Minnesota!...

Chickens and Valkyries?  Only in Luckenbach...

Our final leg was not without incident.  Since I was not with the A Group I don't know the details, but basically James was run off the road at a narrow cattle guard crossing by an inattentive cage coming in the opposite direction.  He and his Road King were somehow mostly fine - even though witnesses described him and his bike as being up side down!  Nevertheless, Mom was very relieved!...

So, as the sun finally broke out, First Group and Second Group (not in that order) made it to Dripping Springs High School ready to devour some fine food at the Wild Game Dinner, which we did!...

What a great weekend with great folks!  The ride was great and visiting with friends was even greater! cooldude

Safe winds to all! Smiley

Can't wait 'til next year! Smiley

My apologies to both V-Nav and Damien! Embarrassed  Thanks for the the correction Pat.  Hey, no one said you had to be smart to be in this business! ???

Disco, I think your bike could have ended up almost as dirty as last year - even without the Lime Creek Road Quarry...well, almost! Roll Eyes
