As far back as that rack is, I wouldn't put over about 80 pounds on it.....
I always try to keep my trailer tongue weight less than 100....
One thing you need to think about is blocking your tail/turn signal lights.... I have seen a few of those racks on some Wings that have some LED turns and brake lights mounted on them and just plug in a trailer adapter to your light pigtail from the bike.
I thought about that. The rack is far enough back about 18" or so from the lights. The only prob I see is if a car is directly behind me. Excellant side view of the lights tho. I should not be riding after dark anyway on my trip. 90% of the time we point/ use hand signals when we change lanes....
I found some small clearance lights at a auto store. Think I can turn these into signals? Maybe if i put in a dual filament bulb? The rack is kinda small, 8x13x20 tall or so.
Really don't want to pull trailer this year to Sturgis again.
