I Just got my BAC yesterday evening and found out from another website because I have Kury levers, I'll have to buy the cam riser kit. I called the company I bought it from and he said 70% of the people never need it. It doesn't sound logical to me- either you need it or you don't! Does anyone have this set up and do I need the kit? Thanks in advance.

i have one on each of my Runes. I had no problems installing it....but on the Rune board...i do see some folks that have a few issues once in a while. if you follow the instructions, you should be good to go. I LOVE mine on the Runes. I probably really shoud get em' for the Valks too i suppose........

I had one before I installed a McCruise control. It took me a while to get it adjusted perfectly, but worked great once I figured it out. I can't really give you any advise other than to get it on on there and start making corrections and tweaking parts.
I actually am sorry I took it off and sold it. My cruise control works super but it would be nice to have a throttle lock on some cool mornings when warming the bike up a little.

I also have one on my Tourer. If you go to the Brake Away web site they have a tutorial on the install.

Do you have Kury chrome levers on yours? After getting them yesterday, I found out on Cruiser Customizing website that I will need the cam riser kit because of the Kury levers. I called DLP where I bought them and the guy said 70% of the poeple don't need the kit. I hope he knows what he's talking about! Thanks for the help

It looks more difficult than it really is. I remember one of the pics in the instructions was taken at an angle that made it hard to tell what it was trying to show. Once I got past that, it was only a matter of adjustment. works fine.

Installed on my Standard with Kury grips and had no problems at all. Instructions do seem more difficult than the actual install. It did take a little adjustment from the factory tension adjustments, but other than that, it was an easy install, about an hour max. I really enjoy it now!

I wouldn't sweat it. Install the thing and make adjustments if you need to. That's the way my life always works...

I had the adjustable Kury levers and the BAC on my Standard. Because the levers are wider than OEM, they will not work correctly without adjustment. I never did get mine to release when hitting the brake, then the bike was totaled (NOT because of the levers/BAC!). You would have to hit the switch to release the lock every time.
I have an IS now and haven't put the BAC on it yet. I just got a cruise control this winter, so once I get it installed, I won't have a use for the BAC. It is a nice unit though, works well and looks great.

Garland that's funny because that's exactly what I was thinking this morning-just go for it and see what happens!! I have no idea how it all goes together but will figure it out. I think if I can get the piece that engages the BAC like the OEM, I might be good to go! Thanks!
