My heart is so heavy right now with the news I just received.  Everything in my life seems so small compared to what this young man continues to endure!

There is a remarkable, very talented, and Christian young man by the name of Brandon, who is a friend of my son’s that has been battling cancer since their sophomore year in high school (2006).  Now, some 4 plus years later, he is still battling! When he went through his first round of chemo, my son, Tim, along with several of their friends, all shaved their heads, to show their support of Brandon when he lost his hair due to the treatments.  Brandon has been in remission a couple of times, but unfortunately, the cancer keeps returning.
Brandon has been attending college for the last few years (when his health has allowed it) and continues to write, record and play his music.  He is so very, very talented and has used his talents many times to glorify our Lord!  He is a very strong Christian young man, and during this entire thing, his faith has never waivered.  His faith has inspired me in many ways and at many times.

I am asking for prayer for this young many and for his family, as well as for the lives of those he has touched.   Below is the message I just received from Brandon, as well as a photo of him.

Brandon was able to attend a Kenny G concert here in KC a little while back.  Arrangements had been made for him to “hang out” with Kenny G backstage before and after the concert.  The pic below of Brandon is at that concert.  He is just glowing in that picture, as he is holding Kenny’s saxophone and even got to play it and jam with the famous Kenny G.

“My family and I believe in miracles seeing how we have experienced a few of our own. At this time, we are praying for yet another. After intense chemo therapy, false hope of marked improvement from my last PET/CT scan, and two more rounds of intense chemotherapy, yesterday's scan showed that I have new tumors on my spleen, liver, and in my bones; I have stopped responding to treatment. At this point, they feel we have run out of options, but are continuing to make calls to experts throughout the country and overseas. I feel loved beyond belief by my caregivers and they are equally dumbfounded by the latest results.
Please pray for my family and for me as we face this new trial.  Brandon “
