Several have asked for the directions for the ride we took this year.  The following is about as close as you are going to get.  Good luck on reconstructing it.  Standard disclaimers apply.

SW on Manchaca (off 290) also called 1626
R on 967
L on 12
R on Jacobs Well Rd
R on 2325
L on 165 to Blanco (coffee)
L on 281 for short distance
R on CR 102 or Kendelia Rd (becomes Old Blanco Rd)
R on 473 (continuation of Old Blanco Rd)
R on 1376 into Sisterdale - then to Winery
continue on 1376 into Luckenbach (break)   Gas / lunch somewhere near here
R on 290
L on 1623 beside LBJ Ranch
R on 2721
R on 1323
R on US 281 to Johnson City
L on 2766 (also called CR201 or Fitzhugh Rd)
R on 12 into Dripping Springs

How can you use this?  I assume that this is generated by the GPS unit as it is running.

I had trouble with the routes.  Santa Chuck sent me the MapSource file but it would not load into my Garmin 220.  I took his left/right sheet and recreated the route on my MapSource.  Again, it would not load into my GPS.  It would only load the waypoints, but no route.  I tried uploading again, this time making sure the boxes were marked for ROUTE and WAYPOINTS.  No routing.  I finally, manually created the route on the GPS using the waypoints that were downloaded.

I figure somewhere, somehow I am doing something wrong.

This is a new model Garmin ZUMO 220.

yes this was created from the GPS log files as we were riding.

I dont know if the zumo 220 can do this, but you can import this "track" into the zumo, and the zumo will give you the option to "create a route" using the imported track.

as for your problems loading a route into your zumo 220.... i see that it does support importing a route from mapsource... so i am not sure what the breakdown was for you.
