Hey guys, I have a question that may have come up before but I can't seem to find a hondaline windshield for my 99 Standard. I have a small memphis shades shield on there now but it won't do for a trip to yellowstone that we are planning for june. So my questions are: Is there any place to get a hondaline windshield other than ebay? Will a hondaline shield from a VTX work on the valk?
Any other suggestions would be great.
I would love to settle for an aftermarket one but I just can't get used to the look of them.
Thanks
Andy

Andy; The screen is around $250.00 but the hardware is big $$$$. If you can get a used one for the hardware, then get a new screen from any honda dealer. I got mine from Dillion Brothers Powersports. Nothing compares in looks or performance to the Honda one, in MHO.

I know I can piece one together from the fiche there but that would be big bucks. The one from the hondaline catalog is the one I'm after. Comes all together as a kit and retailed for around $500

Alot of the aftermarket windshield say that they fit both valkyries and VTX's so I am wondering the hondaline VTX windshield will fit a valk. Anyone ever try it?

I have a honda line vtx winshield on my valk because I have a vtx headlight which is a smaller dia..I don't think you can use one with a stock headlight. The price was over $500 an the headlight was about the same.Very pricey.so don't buy a shield without changing the light

Go to http://findmypart.com/ a network of salvage yards. I got my interstate tank there years ago for $500 - it was off a wrecked new bike, no damage at all - I didn't even have to paint it. The yard that has your part emails you & you go from there. BTW I got my OEM shield from a friend who had cut his down & didn't like the results. I traded him some work on his trailer for it. Then replaced the plastic. That was years ago - I was shocked at how pricey the windshield hardware was, but the plastic wasn't. Back then - the plastic was around $150. Looks like it went up quite a bit.

Hey mtrdrms , I bought an Honda OEM windshield w/ Hardware from the VRCC Classifieds for $275.00 ... the thing I noticed was at the bottom of the windshield the plastic piece did not go underneath the head lite , on mine its a factory cut out under the head lite ... my buddies who have Valks I noticed their Honda OEM's the plastic DID go around the head lite underneath ... I asked around and was told that my windshield was for a VTX but would fit the Valk .. so I guess it would work , it did on mine if its true ...Thanks the Geezer
