This area (Texas/Okla border/Lake Texoma area) is usually pretty quiet as far as motorcycle accidents.  Traffic up here is not usually not bad, BUT in the last two weeks we have had 3 riders killed, and another one who had one leg severed, and the other one crushed (and possibly will be amputated).  Don't know what is going on, but please, please be careful.

Hey Lemondrop , how are managing now a days after your knee replacement ... feeling good I hope .... ain't it great NO more pain when the weather changes ... especially during those cold and wet days in the winter ... spoke with Charlie this morning and he's doing great .... starts his P/T next week I believe .... Hey Lemondrop , I was kidding with Charlie when he sent me an text picture of his new stitch line and I told him that I had been thinking about a tatoo of a zipper on my scars ... I wanted to beautify my scars and not to mention have some walking art work at the same time  2funny Anyway its a crying shame that these riders are scarede for life all because some drivers think they own the road and somebody winds up paying the piper ... Thanks the Geezer crazy2

I think I know the rider that had his legs crushed, an acquaintance of mine was riding with his wife on their Harley and had a crash two weeks ago, she died and his legs were crushed.  The biker did nothing wrong, a car was rear-ended and pushed out into the intersection and they t-boned it.

Geezer -- Haven't gotten to the pain free yet.  Still have pain getting out of chairs, standing for long periods, etc.  BUT no pain when riding!!! cooldude

Houdini-- I don't think it is the same person.  The one here was alone, riding behind a semi, and a car turned into him.  Severed one leg, and crushed the other.  The current rumor mill says that he lost so much blood so fast that he is now blind also.  I have not been able to verify that part.  He is at parkland.  If I remember correctly, his name is Harris.  Cry

That happened on Hwy 78.  I heard about it last week.  Terrible situation that he could not of avoided.  I hate hearing about this stuff.

Prayers lifted for those injured riders and also a request to watch over all other riders.   angel

I always hate hearing about accidents of such. My prayer s go out to the families. I sometimes question why I ride with all the dangers out there. Especially riding in the metroplex. I don't see how you guys do it alll the time. I will throw in a little safety tip while here. We alll know that at the start of a rain storm that the roads are very slick. another time that some don't think about is during heavy humidity in the early morning. I had a real close calll last weekend in those conditions. Ride Safe everyone, Matt
