I don't understand, When Kwame was the mayor of Detroit, He had a huge security force that followed him everywhere.  This mayor must not be aware of the danger she is in.  Too bad she's not a US citizen, she could run against Husain in 2012.

We lived in Mississauga for over 15 years - now we live one street north of the boundry.
Hazel is an amazing woman and very approachable. Somewhere I have a pic of her on the back of a buddies bike - we used to have a toy run in memory of her late husband Stan.
Thanks for posting this, I hadn't seen it.

I remember living in missisauga in 1979 they had the largest train derailment and the entire cuty eas evacuated as well as neighboring citys i thought she was old then nice lady my dad used to deliver her mail in the 60-70's

Wow! We need more like her. Down to earth, common sense, friendly, no BS. She really seems like she has it all together, and if she received 92% of the vote, I'd say she must be doing right by the city, too. Good stuff!
