One of my SCRC Buddies passed away this past weekend and they were having a service for him at a VFW post about 50 miles from here, so I thought I'd go pay my respects.....aired my back tire up here at home before I left....I had plugged it last year, but haven't ridden the bike but a couple of times since the end of the year.....didn't have any more Ride-on to put in it......rode over to the Service, checked my tire pressure and it had lost about 15psi in that short ride over.....craps, I left before the service got started and made my way home after having aired back up at a service station over there....tire had lost about 15psi again on the way home.....$^&^!!!%^$#!.....I rode her hard to keep the tire hot to seal the plug better.......
Looks like I'll be re-visiting that plug again and adding some Ride-on soon.....and yes, I have plugged a tire in 3 spots before, added Ride-on, and rode it another 9,000 miles....with no pressure loss....
On the bright side, I did have a guy stop to chat with me as I was sitting in a parking lot.....he'd just bought a Valk a while back and had some questions for me.....I gave him the addy of this forum and told him to look us up and we'd answer some more Q's for him.....
Was a crappy ending to a bad day in general, but I did get some wind.....
