Maybe Kid Rock has either covered this song or has his own.  But this one is a Three Doors Down song.

From Wikipedia:

"When I'm Gone" is a hit single from 3 Doors Down's second album, Away from the Sun. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in April 2003. The song also spent seventeen weeks atop the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart from November 2002 through March 2003, becoming one of the longest-running #1 singles on that chart.[1] This song is featured on the rhythm video game Band Hero.
