I currently have a Fulmer full face helmet. It has been a very good helmet, but it is time to replace it.
I am looking for recommendations / opinions on full face helmets.

Whatever one fits the best. Most name brand helmets meet DOT and Snell rating so fit is the most impotent factor. Your going to hear about this brand or that brand but go for what fits your head best. So let the my helmet is the best start.  |

If a size " M " ( medium ) will fit Kendall has a nice one for sale on the VRCC classifieds. |

Light. Fits. Can see out of it. Need to try them on... I went to a big motorcycle shop with lots of kinds of helmets, found one I liked and bought it there even though he had to order it in the fast Valkyrie color...  -Mike "Shoei X11" |

+1 on Fit  Nothing sucks more than riding with a helmet that does not fit correctly. Well there are few things that might suck more  |

I can easily hear tunes or the bike to bike intercom, even at high speeds with my glass-packs singing. The chin bar latches down securely but opens easily. And it converts to an open face in just a few minutes but retains the drop down sun visor even as an open face. The only complaint I have is the occasional drop of water running down the inside of the shield in bad storms at interstate speeds. |

My thoughts on helmets... in order of importance... 1 - Rating (I like SNELL, some rather DOT) That's kind of up to opinion 2 - Fit... Ratings mean NOTHING if the helmet doesn't fit CORRECTLY 3 - Aerodynamics (noise, venting, etc.)... this makes it more comfortable in a wide range of weather, making it better chances that you wear it all the time. 4 - Color (Gotta look cool, right??) 5 - Price Of course, this is like asking oil or tire questions. That's all just my 2 cents. |

I've only had 3, remember the Electro's ? That was my first before the fire., then a Turbo II
I had to replace the tight aged Turbo when I just got the bike in October, I tried on many and the cheapest I tried felt the best and had the matching one for my wife, they are Fulmer's I wasn't looking foward to spending over twice as much for ones that felt "worse"

What's wrong with another Fulmer if it fits ur head?
I'm on my 5th Fulmer and love it just as much as I did my 1st Open Face one.
Yes, this one if a full face chin bar flip up.

Read an interesting article a few weeks ago. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/gearbox/motorcycle_helmet_review/index.html
Some group did some independent testing and determined the Snell test procedure is inconsistent with the forces on the helmet during a crash. And therefore not worth much. They went on to test some helmets and found a cheap DOT helmet protected as well as others in the same style, but much more expensive and with DOT and Snell approvals.

On yesterday's ride to a local Chili bake off, I saw that exact same helmet..told the owner it looked to nice and he should roll it around on the ground a bit to make it look "just right"....Said he'd just bought it and absolutely loves it..I like the features it has, might even consider buying one at some point in time, but have 3 different helmets to wear out first.. |

For what it's worth-or not. I have the bell ace of spades. The nice folks at m/c closeout.com north of k/c let me try on anything they had in the store. Just couldn't bring myself to order something as important as a helmet on line with out at least seeing it much less with out trying it on. Really nice folks to do business with. And NO not affiliated with and don't work for them. Just my 2 pennies worth. RIDE SAFE
