I was able to buy the 9" windshield for my MS fairing. I wanted the 12" for less buffetting, (I'm 6') but whoa, anybody that sold it then, wanted like a $100 more. What the hey!. If you can find a good deal on a 12" windshield let a fella know.

at 6' this 12 is a little low ( i have a tall hartco seat) top hits me below the mouth rather than below the nose. probably would be fine with a stock seat.

A 12 inch is the tallest windshield that Memphis Shades makes. I talked to the Memphis Shades reps at Destination Daytona last weekend and they do not intend to make anything taller since they think it would put too much pressure on the mounting points. They didn't want to make the 12" but they received so many requests that they succumbed. I got the 12" and it tops out right at eye level so I have to sit higher or slouch down so it doesn't cut my line of sight. I like the fairing though I'd like it a little better with about 1.5" more shield. There is way less buffeting that with the clear windshield I've had for years.

Hi Bob
Did you have any problems mounting the fairing? Did you have to make any modifications? I have a 97 but with Cobra lightbars and don't know if it will work. Any useful suggestions?
