I have a '00 Valk Standard that has red led tail light/turn indicator lamps. These were on the motorcycle when i bought it 2 yrs ago. The tail lamp has burnt out, but the turn indicator is working fine. Problem is, i can't find a replacement anywhere, & Va. requires all lamps to be working to pass insp.. Anyone know where these can be purchased? thanks, DaveC

Auto Zone carries a limited supply of LED bulbs, and I believe has a red (you want to get red, even if you have a red lens) 1157 that will get you through the inspection. I've used normal LED replacement bulbs as taillights on other bikes, and in my opinion, incandescent bulbs are better. The LEDs are plenty bright if you look at them from eye level, but not from a higher angle, which will be the case with anyone following you. That's because they throw their light straight out, without making use of the reflector. The better bet is to get one of the LED taillight replacement arrays, which are pricey but provide plenty of light, plus a good differential between running and braking. I've bought bulbs from this site before with good results: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Ftail-brake-turn.htmlThis site has the full taillight arrays: http://www.customdynamics.com/

This is what i put in mine and trust me, you can and will see it, daytime or at night. This is taken in a lighted service bay at the shop. Note the reflection on the tractor seat. Now, tell me ya can't see it. LOL Currently out of stock. This is a 128 count LED replacement panel in the Valkyrie taillight. In my opinion, it is worth the $100. http://www.radiantz.com/index1.html?c16.html&1

Then you blind them from the rear. I love it.

Thanks for the replies. Still can't seem to find what i'm lookin' for tho. The 1 i have fits in the standard tail/turn signal lamp socket, has a clear lens, but shines red. Maybe it's not made anymore? Thanks again, DaveC

Mine blinks quickly 3 times than stays on when applied. Worth the $$ and it's been on mine for about 5 yrs now.

If it is a plug and play led replacement, just put in an 1157 til you find a replacement.
