road of life....got 15 years in at my job at the County.....I'm 41 now.....they will probably raise the retirement age to over 70 for my age group(if there's any at all).....so, retire at say 70?...minus 26 when I started= 44yrs at the same place.... Shocked......

At least I get 3 more vacation days a year now......up to 18 from 15......still smarts losing out on two different promotions, one due to politics...... tickedoff tickedoff......

I came home, re-plugged the rear tire.....added Ride-on to it and went ahead and put some in the front tire too.....took her for a short 20 mile ride to distribute it inside the tires...I know she's good up to 105..... cooldude....checked the tire pressure when I got back and there was 3-4psi MORE in the rear tire from the heat.....rechecked the plug area with soapy water and no leakage on the new plug....then I worked on tightening up the left hand mirror.....and put her to bed for the night.....I plan on checking the pressure again tomorrow and taking her for a MUCH needed ride.....the Mountain roads will probably still have too much gravel/sand in the curves to really push it hard, but I can watch a few videos tonight to get me in the mood..... cooldude

I've been doing the same job for 36 years, Last promotion was 28 years ago, I must have diminishing goals, because I don't care to move now. I just want to Ride.

SS keep hanging in there and spend as much time in the saddle as you can. That is my plan...

The suggestion by the Bowles-Simpson group was to go to age 67, but it would only apply to those about 2 years old now.  And, I do not think even that will be enacted.

My work is play. Forklift and tractor trailer. Always home at night and all day at the same building.
No plans of retiring at all. 5 weeks-o-vacation and I love it. When its time to work I'm all over it and when theyre done with me, dissapear. Go on VRCC fior instance.
Czuch tested,Boss approved, can things get better?
