the chevy volt has only sold 248 units? that it?  i guess consumers don't want a car that runs on coal.  2funny 2funny 2funny

there are people that have been griping for years about conspiring car and oil companies that could be building cars that get 100 MPG but have been buried to keep us addicted to oil. seriously here's your car, buy one and shut up  Evil

I don't think they have reached the dealer lots yet.  We just bought a new Malibu, or salesman said he hasn't even heard a delivery date for them yet.

The Volt will be initially sold in seven regions: California, Washington, D.C. Area, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Austin, Texas. Nationwide availability in the U.S. and Canada is scheduled to begin with the 2012 model year commencing in late summer 2011.

Personally, I don't think electric vehicles will predominate the market till they have better performance and range that other vehicles.

I buy cages for their ability to haul me, firewood, hunting/camping gear through mud and snow to work or play.

I buy motorcycles for their ability entertain me. A slow, boring or range limited motorcycle will never grace my garage unless it's for kids.

But, a screaming fast electric touring bike with quick charge capacitor based energy cells would be a hoot and I'd buy one if it was affordable. And, I'd be fine with dumping chunks of coal in a hopper under the seat if it made it scoot. Grin
