congrats !!! i went into the v.a. hospital for a physical 4 years ago. they found throat cancer, caused by smoking. gave them up the day before surgery, haven't missed them a bit, and i smoked for 40 years. now clean of the cancer (thank God) and am totaly allergic to the smell of cigarettes. did you go through thinking you needed to apologize to everyone you know for smelling up their air ?  |

Rodeo1, I did not go through that kind of feeling. My wife was smoking 2-3 packs a day, and was having several medical problems. She used Chantix to quit in Nov. of '07. She had tried all the other stuff(patches, gum, hypnotism) and nothing worked. So in Jan. '08, I decided to give it another try. I have gained 20-25 lbs since then, but have not had a single cigarette.
So, going by your handle, just what did you do in the rodeo? I used to be a bareback rider back in the mid '70's on up to the summer of '83. Age was catching up to me, (I had just turned 31) so it was kind of time to hang it up. Still enjoy watching 'em ride.
