So I bought this mighty Vac from harbor freight to flush the master cylinders and clutch.
So I have it hooked up to the clutch bleeder and get through 3/4 of the cylinder, close the bleeder and fill the cylinder and go to do it again anthe mighty vac starts leaking.

Has anyone ever had an issue of this nature with these vacs.
The clutch leverl is limp with no pressure otherwise I would just pump it out maunally.

Any thoughts or Ideas?

Why did you close the bleeder to refill the cylinder?

Where did the Mighty Vac leak.  hose, plastic tube or main tubing of it?

Possible the vac is faulty, but undoubtful.

However, if it came from Harbor Frieght, it could be a reject, they buy all rejects from their suppliers..

How are you RJ.
It started leaking from the vac unit.
I closed the bleeder just for assurance reasons.
I supposse Harbor freight will give me grief when I try yo echange without a reciept. I do however have my online bank debit transaction.

greggh.... there is a good chance that harbor freigh is only going to want to exchange it for another reject, in which case go to sears and get yourself the one they sell in the red blowmolded case. it runs about $60.00, which in the long run will still pay for itself in short order.  good luck. cooldude

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I got one from auto zone that was $20 or so. Has a boat load of fittings for all sorts of stuff.

Speed BleedersĀ® worked for me. I suspect that Mighty Vac is only as efficient as the model you purchase.

Is this the handheld unit with a collection bottle?

If so, did you draw brake fluid into the pump?

Yes and Yes.
So using the same vac before returning I Hooked everything together and did a dry run ( no fluids at all ) and it held the vacume just fine.
Hooked all of it to the clutch and strated the same procedure again and this time everything worked fine.
The only thing I did different was shorten the hose from the canister to the pump.
Clutch seems to have the same resistance it had before I started all this.
So now I will do the front brakes and see how that turns out.
I will post more later.

A Valk owner and his Mighty Vac!
Not sure what I did wrong the first time  uglystupid2
But the second attempt was a success.
The clutch, front and rear brake fluids have been changed and all appears to
Function properly  cooldude
I am going to fire it up and take it for a short run to be certain.
The Mighty Vac seems to be ok I believe the problem was within the hands of an inexperienced user.

Well Let see.
Here is the hit list I ahve made for my Valk.
Fork Fluid
Adjust Valves
Sync the Carbs - Friend of mine will be doing that
rear wheel bearings - inspect front they are a year old.
Differential fluid
Clean & Lube splines and rear axel
Check the stearing head bearing
Clean the air filter
Lube the throttle cables and all other cables as needed
That should about do it.
Oh then get on it and Ride Like I Stole It.
Thanks to for your input.
