Things to see on Natchez Trace? Never been there. Deer,Deer, and more Deer. Keep an eye out for them and obey the speed limits. The Feds love writing tickets on the Trace $$$$. Are you doing the whole thing or just a part of it? Be sure to stop in at the "Loveless Cafe" to eat before you start, and they have a Natchez Trace map showing all the sites along the way. You picked a good week to go, great weather for Wed.

When in doubt, stop at all the signs that describe a place to stop. Some you'll hop back on and leave. Others you'll find something very interesting.

When you get down to this end make sure you stop at the Old Country Store in Lorman for lunch. Also stop at Windsor Ruins. Keep a sharp eye out for forest rats. They're not scared of traffic and will walk out in front of you. I had a doe and three fawns walk out in front of me during the Smokin Joe's Natchez Trace Ride last Labor Day weekend.

Do it great ride.
French Camp. Sunken Trace, the one south of Jackson Rock Springs Tennessee river bridge crossing. Mount Locust Some of the Mounds stops. Witch Dance
Lots of others also.
Gas stops and overnight facilities and eats
US 64 US 72 Tupelo French Camp Jackson
Have fun and be especially careful at dawn and sundown. (deer). Personally I would not ride at night. (deer)
Go all the way to Natchez and turnaround and come back.

When you get to Natchez, Mississippi stay here... Isle of Capri, Natchez, Ms. 601-304-2706 These folks really took care of us on our ride last year....If you call ask for Kari Blaney I wish all the motels we used on our rides had a Kari to deal with. And as folks said the deer will get you we had one of our riders go down after a deer strike on his way down .

Thanks Pete, that really helps! Copied that and put it in my map pack. We're plannin to do just that, all the way down then turn around and do it again. When I read about last years ride I had no idea it was 400+ miles. Sounds like my kinda ridin'. Really hated to miss it last year, so just decided to do it. Howdy Joe! I was hope'n you'd chime in. Thanks for the contact info in Natchez, copied that too and we'll give her a call. FINALLY got everything serviced (especially the splines and u-joint, all looked good). Lookin forward to rollin up some highway with ya THIS season! Hope life's treatin ya well. Peace DG. P.S. DEER, I hear ya!! We hit a wolf (I swear, it was a wolf!) last year comin off the Dragon. Still cann't believe we didn't go down. I sure wouldn't wanna hit anything bigger! I'll be watchin, Sugar's goin with. Thanks again, DG.
