Weather was outstanding we beat the rain and got in 300 miles of mostly  two lane backroads. We did play in the I-40 gorge on the way up and let the fat girls eat on the way home the last 15 miles or so.Pictures below taken about half way between Lake Junaluska and Hot Springs , North Carolina.

Picture's taken along Hwy.209 on the mountain before Hot Springs...In 1985 a North Carolina Highway Patrol officer was murdered on this spot.

It's always nice to see the rednecks art work  Angry

Have they started to rebuild the burnt down "Pub" in Hot Springs.

Friend of mine with a KTM has just bought a house on the French Broad in Hot Springs.

Can't say Paul we had lunch just as you come off the mountain into town and we did'nt go on down toward the hot springs. We took Hwy. 70 along the French Broad River back toward home.

That was a great ride Joe!  We skinned it back thru the Gorge and on I-40 back to K-town!  The twisties had a lot of fine grit on it and my back tire was dancing around a lot and the kick side stand was dragging on a regular basis.  A great 300 mile ride with good friends!
