During my Navy career I  had the opportunity to attend only a few USO shows, and they were all great, but I don't think any of them can compare to the shows that Bob Hope (and company) performed.  He set a high standard and performed such a great service to the men and women of the military service.  I know he has been sorely missed.

I was fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of being a Learjet pilot for him in the '80s.  Some of my life's fondest memories involve Mr. Hope stopping off at the cockpit for a brief stand-up routine.  He was a very special person.
